... ist der Birkensee auf dem Plateau des Schwanberg.
Die Kelten legten ihn vor mehr als 2000 Jahren an, um auch bei Gefahr genug Wasser für Mensch und Vieh zu haben. Auf der Insel in der Mitte des Sees wurden Reste eines Wachtturms gefunden. Auf dem Schwanberg befand sich bis zur Germanisierung ein beachtliches keltisches Oppidum.

The Celts built it over 2000 years ago to have sufficient water for human and livestock in case of danger. Archaeological finds testify its use. On the island in the middle of the lake you can see rests of a watchtower. On the mountain Schwanberg there was a considerable Celtic Oppidum up to the Germanization of this region.
