Ochsenfurt wird bereits im Jahre 725 urkundlich erwähnt. Die historische Altstadt wird immer noch von der mittelalterlichen Befestigungsanlage umgeben; ein gotisches Rathaus mit Lanzentürmchen und Figurenuhr, Stadtpfarrkirche mit Riemenschneiderfigur, viele Fachwerkhäuser und ein Heimat- und Trachtenmuseum sind Besonderheiten im Stadtbild.
