These moths are thought to be orchid pollinators, I'm not sure what this one has on its proboscis but defo dna from some flower to pass on.

By the end of July this field will be a wash with butterflies, if you get the chance to go see it. Its amazing. Was a bit early when we visited but still lovely as always.

Not in front of the children!! Female has emerged, a male has found her probably the instant her wings were dry..lol and a parasitised caterpillar wanders around.

Parasitised Six-spot Burnet Caterpillar, probably the same as the previous caterpillar, these wasps are just pupating now. Where as the moth should have emerged, let alone pupate.
