He was so happy with the crust he let us take this photo with my macro lens, which means I was only a few inches away, laying on the ground hand feeding him.
By the end of July this field will be a wash with butterflies, if you get the chance to go see it. Its amazing. Was a bit early when we visited but still lovely as always.

Female has emerged, a male has found her probably the instant her wings were dry..lol and a parasitised caterpillar wanders around.

Parasitised Six-spot Burnet Caterpillar, probably the same as the previous caterpillar, these wasps are just pupating now. Where as the moth should have emerged, let alone pupate.
