Narva ist der östlichste Punkt von Estland – und der östlichste Punkt der Europäischen Union..
Früher nannte man Narva die „Barockperle der Ostsee“. 1944 wurde die Stadt während des 2ten Weltkrieges grösstenteils zerstört und später fast ausschliesslich im sowjetischen Stil wieder aufgebaut.
Heute sind ca. 95% der Einwohner von Narva russischsprachig
