Die Ursprünge der ESDA Strumpfwerke GmbH reichen zurück bis in das Jahr 1886. Damals gründete Robert Götze mit seiner Frau die ROGO Strumpfwerke (Robert Götze Oberlungwitz).
Von 1945 bis 1989 stieg die ESDA zum Anbieter von Strumpfwaren aller Art für den gesamten osteuropäischen Wirtschaftsraum auf.
Nach der Wiedervereinigung 1989 wurde die ESDA reprivatisiert und für die Zukunft neu aufgestellt. Seit 2006 gehört das Unternehmen zur Daun-Gruppe. Als Spezialist für Private-Label-Produktion im Fein- und Strickstrumpfsegment produziert die ESDA mehr als 60 Millionen Strumpfwarenartikel.

Not exactly a castle............but it must have been a very impressive looking building at one time. It's still very imposing now, despite its obvious deterioration.
