they are very very very ugly!

I agree about the apartment blocks............there has been absolutely no effort made to blend them into the local environment..!!

The mountainous background however is very impressive though............and it makes everything else look completely inconsequential.

Indeed, disturbing and honestly ugly. They remind me the Soviet style concrete-paneled apartment buildings ('projects') that I witnessed during passing the Northern Caucasus (Osetia) -- in total contrast with the lovely nature (green mountains) that evil of socialist heritage.

Die grauen Nebengebäude machen den Anblick um nichts besser. Aber einen Flugplatz haben sie ja auch da oben. Braucht man alles. Dringend & unbedingt.

Hast du so schön fotografiert, so dass man den traurigen Bauwerken sogar noch Schönheit abgewinnen kann.

Ja, da gibt es ein paar Bausünden in den diversen Skiresorts Europas. Auch in der Schweiz natürlich. :-)
