Another Climber (Via Ferrata dell' Amicizia, 21)

Another Climber (Via Ferrata dell' Amicizia, 21)
I think this little climber is a green rose chafer, (Cetonia aurata). It crossed our path on the descent from Cima SAT.

~~~~~
Diesen kleinen Kletterer halte ich für einen Goldglänzenden Rosenkäfer (Cetonia aurata). Er kreuzte unseren Weg beim Abstieg vom Cima SAT.
Eine schöne Darstellung von diesem Mistkäfer; es ist erstaunlich, wozu sie in der Lage sind, wenn ich an die doch recht großen, exakt wie ein Ball geformten Mistkugeln denken.
Jolie macro, mais ici ce n'est pas Cetonia aurata elle aurait des stries blanches sur les élytres
Ici ça me semble plus proche des Gnorimus mais ce n'est pas sûr que ce soit un cetonidae
Due to lack of correspondence of some prominent features/characteristics of Cetonia aurata with the specimen pictured here, I think it is more likely that this is Trypocopris vernalis.
So, I agree with Domcho.
Anyway, the macro is great!
Mistkäfer sind im allgemeinen nicht goldgrün, sondern schwarz. Und es gibt wohl auch Rosenkäfer ohne die weißen Flügelmarkierungen:
Aber egal. Ich bin kein Botaniker. Blatthornkäfer sind sie wohl beide.
Sorry to have to disagree with you, Bernhard. :)
Trypocopris vernalis may have a shiny black coloration, but can also shine in other metallic colorations.
Other distinguishing features are, i. a., its anterior fossorial legs and its comparatively rounded wing covers, as well as its nutritional basis.
Of course, the beetle you think is Cetonia aurata may have left its natural habitat here, for whatever reason, or may be searching for it. Though, its place of discovery speaks rather for Trypocopris vernalis, too.
But I don't want talk shop further. After all, it's about the photo and this so or so fascinating creature.
Ich lerne gerne dazu - und muss schmunzeln.
Denn als Klettererauch verlassen auch wir vorübergehend unseren natürlichen Lebensraum.
