It is very questionable whether "refined cuisine for well-off seniors" is sufficient as an evening programme in the top ski resorts. The younger ones definitely want something different:

Most of the people who come to winter sports are young. The older ones are in the minority. But the young don't just want to eat. They want to have fun together: dancing, partying, sex. They don't need restaurants for that, but other locations. The video shows what I'm talking about.

I agree with Sarah, but then I'm probably just showing my age. I had no idea that après-ski looked like your video - more like nightlife in the city! I have in my own mind's eye the après-ski I experienced the only time I ever went skiing, 1974, Val d'Isère.
Much more sedate in those days and the music was far better - imho!

In reality, the audience answers this question. Where their musical tastes are best met, the vibe is best. Then the innkeeper is also in a good mood. After all, both live from the fact that the guests have fun and consume a lot.

Oooh, that looks delicious! I don't eat much meat (and am definitely a senior) but that looks wonderful. Ahhh, to be young again and be able to party day and night. (I agree with Andy about the music.)
