American pokeweed remedy or poison?
The American pokeweed, its natural range is found in North America, in some areas of Eurasia it is a neophyte. In various areas of Europe it is considered an invasive species.
Raw, undercooked parts of the plant are poisonous. Vomiting, bloody diarrhoea, dizziness, drop in blood pressure, convulsions, respiratory paralysis which can also lead to death.
The berries were formerly used in various countries for dyeing red wine, sugar dyes, textile dye and as ink or as an emetic and laxative, they were also used against rheumatism, autoimmune diseases, glandular swellings, ulcer, bronchitis and cancer, they are said to have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, expectorant and narcotic effects.

On the way to Pula ,this domestic goat we encountered in a wooded area, goats provide meat, leather, milk and sometimes wool. They eat, almost everything, leaves and tree growth, herbs and grass. They are extremely frugal, because they are easy to keep and feed, they are also called the cow of the little man.
Artful naturally decorated hydrants on the side of the road
How it looks without decoration

The Wall of the Finsteraarhorn
At 4274 meters, the Finsteraarhorn is the highest peak in the Bernese Alps The Finsteraarhorn cannot be seen from the valley like the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and is very difficult to reach because it is surrounded by glaciers and high mountains.

One last look at the area and the lake, which has a turbulent past.
The lake got its name from the crown estate of the Croatian kings, as it belonged to their territory. It was bequeathed to the Order of the Knights Templar in the 12th century, later it was taken over by the Knights of St. John, around 1400 the Venetians took over, and then the Turks came and conquered the dominion.

The plants in the area of the lake, about 700 in number are registered, but many of them are threatened with extinction.
The great diversity of habitats also results in the great diversity of plants around the lake.

It's not just straight ahead, once at the top it's worth it as the views show
The vegetation of Lake Vransko belongs to the Mediterranean and sub-Mediterranean zone, habitats in the park area are open waters ,wetlands, reed beds, holm oaks, Aleppo pines and Mediterranean shrubs and meadows.
Birds use the reed beds and shrublands as nesting sites and find food and shelter.
The Mediterranean shrubs are mostly aromatic and prickly plants, the chaste tree or the Spanish broom, which is the most common in the park.

HWW Fortress rampart
Fortresses are places strongly fortified by defensive works, with strong masonry, or made of concrete, which served as protection against artillery shells. Fortresses of this type were built from the 15th century, until the middle of the 20th century.

A bushfire has probably made its way through the flora and fauna here, whether the fire was started deliberately or naturally, a park ranger says both could be possible.

Cycling around Croatia's largest lake
Vransko jezero is the largest natural lake in Croatia , it stretches parallel to the sea, separated by a wide limestone ridge,
The lake is a karst field filled with sea water and fresh water, due to its position in relation to the sea level it is a cryptodepression -4metres , a water-filled depression (lake), the bottom of which is below the sea level, but is so filled with water that the lake level is higher than the sea level
The water level is not stable and depends on the annual rainfall in the entire lake basin.
