The Shroud of Turin, a very special exhibit (usually only a copy) is kept here.
During the fire of the Shroud Chapel, located between the Cathedral and the Castle of Turin, on April 12, 1997, the Shroud was saved unharmed by a fireman. Since 1998 it has been kept in a side chapel of the Cathedral.
