I've been bathing,
when the body
remembers.

Even so,
the fly
always lands
by the silence hour.

I must have forgotten
a fruit inside me,
a rotten organ
since the last Spring
when you said you would come.

Secretly
I still worship
at the still life altar
in which love has become.

I demand some calm
lent by cigarettes.
Teeth hate this,
but the tobacco' smell
stuns insects
that don't pay rent
in my skin.

The extended left arm
out of the bed
keeps the body orbiting.

I react to yesterday´s plane
crashes.
I'm tired of using the body,
I no longer check the engine oil,
I have no one who borders flowers
in place of wounds.

Tenho tomado banho,
quando o corpo
se lembra.

Ainda assim,
a mosca
pousa sempre
na hora do silêncio.

Devo ter esquecido
dentro de mim um fruto,
um órgão podre
da primavera passada
em que disseste que virias.

Secretamente
ainda faço o culto
ao altar da natureza morta
em que se tornou o amor.

Peço alguma calma
emprestada aos cigarros.
Os dentes odeiam isso,
mas o cheiro do tabaco
atordoa os insetos
que não pagam aluguer
na minha pele.

O braço esquerdo estendido
para fora da cama
mantém o corpo em órbita.

Refaço-me dos acidentes aéreos
de ontem.
Estou cansado de usar o corpo,
já não verifico o óleo do motor,
já não tenho quem borde flores
no lugar das chagas.
