MY MODEST MIRROR

This sheet of paper
is my modest mirror
where I expose a picture
undressed of my skin
for another that doesn't reveal
my extirpated body:
- Who am I?...Who is that
where I concentrate my watch!?
The mirror where I am invented
turned inside out
encourages this intent
of writing what I don't think
- to be someone who I don't know,
doesn't know me, not even see
when, remembering what I forget,
I write...and nobody reads.

É MEU ESPELHO EM RECATO

É meu espelho em recato
esta folha de papel
e nela exponho um retrato
em que dispo a minha pele
por outra que não revele
este corpo que desventro:
- Quem sou eu?... Quem é aquele
em que tanto o olhar concentro!?
O espelho que me invento
revirado do avesso
estimula este intento
de escrever o que não penso
- ser alguém que não conheço,
não me conhece, nem vê
quando, lembrando o que esqueço,
eu escrevo...e ninguém lê.
