The Story of the True Cross is a cycle of frescoes located in the choir of the Bacci Chapel of the Basilica of San Francesco in Arezzo. The work was begun in 1447 by Bicci di Lorenzo. When Bicci died in 1452, the frescoes were commissioned to Piero della Francesca. He completed them between 1452 and 1466.
