Namibia, A Huge Nest in the Branches of a Tree in the Game Reserve of Erindi
Such nests are built by small sociable weaver birds. The common nests of these birds reach 8 m in length and 2 m in height. They combine up to 300 individual nests and resemble giant haystacks hanging from trees or telegraph poles. Snakes often climb into such nests and eat eggs.
