Maasai Women in Traditional Clothes
The Maasai are among the best known Kenian and Tanzanian populations due to their residence near the African Great Lakes, and their distinctive customs and dress. They do not accept modern civilization and adhere to their age-old customs of the traditional semi-nomadic way of life. Presumably, their survival skills such as the ability to produce food in deserts and scrublands that could help populations adapt to climate change. Many Maasai tribes throughout Tanzania and Kenya welcome visits to their villages to experience (for a fee) their culture, traditions, and lifestyle.
