VICTOR ALEXANDRE JOSEPH WAROT
( September 18, 1834 - March 29, 1906)
.Belgian tenor.
Debut d In 1858 at the Opéra-Comique Paris in Limnander's “Les Monténégrins”. From 1861-1868 he was engaged at the Grand-Opéra Paris. In the years 1868/69 and 1870/74 he sang at the La Monnaie Theatre in Brussels. He sang at 4 premières: as harvester Faucheur in Meyerbeer's "Dinorah" (1859), Beppe in Donizetti's "Rita" (1860), Tebaldo in Massé's "La mule de Pedro" (1865) and Don Alvaro in Meyerbeer's "L'Africaine" (1865). In 1888 he retired from the stage and then worked as a singing teacher in Paris
