Studied Prague Conservatory and was engaged as guest artist at Darmstadt . She moved to Cologne and Aachen . She participated in Rossini's opera's and performed roles such as Rosina 'The Barber of Saville" with some success. She soon realised her voice was not up to the demands of Opera and by 1841 had moved to spoken theatre in which she excelled.
