Vytautas Didysis was the Grand-Duke of Lithuania between the late 14th century and 1430, when he died.
This can be seen in a small island at Trakai Lake, between the lakeside and Trakai Island, where stands Trakai Castle. Footbridges provide access between these islands and the lakeside.
