Located very near from Fajã Grande, in western Flores, Azores, it is 90 metres high and falls into Poça do Bacalhau (Codfish Puddle), where people can enjoy (as I did) a refreshing bath, feeling the waterfall right on the head.

After half an hour trekking in the woods, you get to a lagoon with several waterfalls behind - a highlight to visitors. The permanent water supply to the lagoon flows down to Ribeira do Ferreiro, a tributary of Ribeira Grande, a stream with mouth into the Atlantic, on western Flores, Azores.
