The islet is less than 400 metres far from the main island and is owned by a farmer from Topo, who regularly takes his cows to the islet to graze - he ties them with ropes and tows all them with his rowing boat across the channel (and back).

Originally built in the 17th century, it was rebuilt after the earthquake of 1757. It is the Mother Church of Topo, in eastern São Jorge, Azores.

Surprisingly, the 2nd floor of the pink house has doors on the façade straight over the street, without any balcony! It was spotted at Dr. João Teixeira Street, Velas, São Jorge, Azores.

A barrier of rocks protect it from waves, but allows sea water already weakened. It is located at Fajã das Almas, mid-southern coast of São Jorge, Azores. Pico Island is also visible on the background.
