They were good vans! I spent a week in 1979 at the Luton Bedford Van Factory - holiday job - re-cementing the factory floor during Wakes Week. Possibly the hardest work I have done in a short period. I was the guy rushing back and forth with a wheelbarrow full of wet cement to the plasterers before it dried. I had to be quick and it was all about running with these full barrows up several flights of ramps! I was very fit before and even fitter after. A holiday rock climbing in the Alps after and I was as fit as I have ever been, before or since!

I bought a new Bedford CF many years ago after 7 days the oil pump stopped working and blew the engine the garage put in a new engine and I kept it for 7years after that.
