My Wife's Backyard

For the Saturday Self-challenge: Use the window as a frame. The decals on the windows are placed on the outside. This spring we had a number of bird strikes on the window and it was injuring the birds. The reflection made them think it was a continuation of the yard and they were flying fast against the window. The decals act as a deterrent because even though we can barely see them, it acts like spotlights to the birds and they veer away.

PIPs: A photo I made a couple of weeks ago when the smoke from Western Canadian fires was so thick that it choked our sky several hundred kilometres away.

The second is one of the first photos I posted on Ipernity. It was the view from our hotel room in Piana, Corsica. To the left was the ocean.

Your window makes an attractive frame. We had the same problem with our hummingbirds this spring and had to move their feeder away from the window. The decals are a great idea.

The smoke has been just hideous here. I can only imagine how it must be there. Stay safe, Pappy!

Credit where credit is due. We moved here in April. The original owners had the yard professionally landscaped. My wife has brought it back to life after the orevious owner had let some things go unattended. I just cut the grass and have an occasional beer on the patio.
