Historic museum ship destroyer Velos D16, ex USS Charrette (DD-581), in Thessaloniki Bay (2022) (IMG_0140)

As this anchorage is exposed to North winds, in November 2023 the ship suffered some damage during a storm and subsequently she was moved to Jetty 1 into Thessaloniki Port facilities.

UPDATE, 2024-09-22: In September 2024, the ship was again moved to the head of Jetty 1, and is again accessible to the public for visits but almost impossible to photograph.
