Yes, I haven't been back since a school trip back in 67 when we got right up amongst the stones! Of course they had to restrict the access but at least I saw it up close.

Mind you, on my very many drives down to Cornwall from London, I usually went the A303 / A 30 route rather than the M4, and the magnificent sight of the stones never failed to thrill! And no need to leave the car.
I've been dreading suddenly finding myself in a tunnel just as I would feel a spiritual need to see the stones again! But then plans for a tunnel for the A303 past this site have come and gone for as long as I can remember!
