thanks for the information. I remember now that they want to build a military version of that chopper for the Canadian Air Force to replace the old sea Kings still flying. It is a long and stupid story which cost us billions. This one is probably an experimental craft.

It is actually an older Sea King type airframe--just tailored for civil use.

The military Sea King replacement in Canada is as baffling as the F-35 saga here. A lot of money and a lot of promises which turn into expensive empty promises.

the F-35 saga was here too. The conservative government decided to buy it but finally changed its mind because of pressure of the opposition. Now the new government will have to decide which plane to buy to replace the old CF-18.
