Die Forth Bridge ist eine zweigleisige Eisenbahnbrücke über den Firth of Forth, die im Gegensatz zu dem bis dahin verwendeten Schmiedeeisen vollständig aus Stahl hergestellt wurde. Sie hatte bei ihrer Eröffnung 1890 die größte Spannweite aller Brücken weltweit.
Im Juli 2015 wurde sie zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe erklärt.

riding with Lothian Buses from Edinburgh to a lot of destinations quite far from town centre. In this case we took a bus line from the main station directly to Queensferry. The walk through this
picturesque place offered some nice views, so there are still some more pictures to come.
volker_hmbg club has replied to Amelia cluband I remember well your pictures from St. Andrews. And that you have spent your childhood there visiting often the beach East Sands as I could read under your photo "My childhood playground".
For sure most people are wearing rose tinted glasses as far as they speak about their childhood.
That is a fine thing that our remembering is selecting mostly the good moments while the bad ones are easily forgotten.
