Die Strelizie ist in Madeira eine Art Symbolblume. An allen Ecken und Enden, an Straßen und Plätzen, in Gärten und Parks und selbstverständlich auch wild an Strassenrändern und in der freien Natur ist sie anzutreffen.
Das Foto oben stammt aus dem 'Mercado dos Lavradores', dem Bauernmarkt in Funchal.
