Upernavik lies on a small island at 72° 47′ 2″ N (Nordkapp at "only" 71° 10′ 21!). It boasts of an airport on top of the hill behind town which is just about suitable for Air Greenland's Dash 8. Steinsund is a narrow sound between the islands of Sula/ Steinsundøyna and Ytre Sula.near the mouth of Sognefjord. There is a ferry over Steinsund but a bridge is also being built. This is a bit controversial as Ytra Sula has very few inhabitants and the costs are high. Ytre Sula
