Well I have to admit that these gates outdo those of Powis Castle, but they wouldn't outshine those at Chirk Castle. I must look at my archives. ;-)))

Well, that gate certainly meets the challenge Gudrun...........it's magnificent. I like the shadow as well and the house is pretty impressive.

A lovely set of photos in the PiPs...........I'm not a great fan of formal gardens, but they do look nice and have obviously been looked after over many years. I love the internal shots, both beautifully exposed and taken.

Thanks very much, Keith! We caught the gardens in an internediate state, they had removed the spring bulbs and had not replaced them yet by summer plants. But there were also plenty of non formal garden areas.
