Herzlichen Dank, Rainer! Das Nordlicht war eine uneewartete Beigabe, mit blossem Auge war es praktisch nicht zu erkennen.

A great night sky Gudrun. Wonderful to have such black skies as I too witnessed in Cyprus, so far from city light pollution. Are those the Northern lights? Good to see the Milky Way in evidence here too. ⭐Well done. ~ Herb

Thank you so much, Herb! I was extraordinarily lucky that it was so calm and clear, otherwise the photo would never have been possible from aboard a moving ship. Yes, there's a very weak aurora, it was hardly discernible with the naked eye. I didn't really expect to see it so far in the south.
