Coincidence

Coincidence
I took all my old SLR, DSLR and roll film camera gear to camera store that buys and sells them. On my way I missed the first bus, and I had to wait 20 minutes for the next one. And when I arrived to the store, I had to wait for the previous customer to become served.

When finally came my turn, I was surprised to hear how valuable my old gear turned out to be. The most valuable thing was an old 6x9 bellows camera. And what was worth of nothing was an Olympus E450 and all three lenses I had for it. I wasn't very surprised to hear that because the old Four Thirds DSLR system has totally replaced by Micro Four Thirds. So, I decided to bring it back home, just in case I sometimes wish to give it a chance.

And when the guy asked whether I want 500€ in cash or 600€ exchange value for something else, I saw it: The previous customer had just left Canon G5X on the desk! Just the camera I had planned to buy, but have had no money for it. And together with it I got two memory cards and very nice and slick Manfrotto tripod. The G5X turned out almost brand new. The pervious owner had first switched to it from some older DSLR, but soon discovered he wishes to shoot with DSLR after all.

If I haven't missed the bus, chosen this very Saturday to bring my gear to the store, or chose to do who knows what else, I would very likely missed this chance.

Thank you, Erhard. I have so missed a bridge camera that has such bright lens and 1" sensor.

Thank you, Tess. 1" sensor, fully articulating display, bright lens, and all still in pocket size.

Life is often like tah Sami. Yes old cameras and lenses etc, are often worth more than people think it may be they ried selling to an ordinary 'Second hand dealer, or because they had not realizes thar 35 mm film has returned. I recently gave myself a new EOS D750, it cost less than my old EOS D400.
