I didn't feel conflicted about not summiting. I know people do this Class 2 hiking all the time, but I felt fortunate that we got through it with no injuries. I was more mentally fatigued than physically. Plus it was 2 p.m. and some clouds were rolling in (summiting before noon is recommended to avoid lightning). Drew and Anthony went on and summited, they are amazing. R.L. and Jonathan were on page with me and we went down.
