L. Looks like a grimacing cupcake, but okay. A lot of these recipes look to be holdovers from the war. They're big on stand-in sweeteners like corn syrup, honey, molasses, and dried fruit. Very light on butter and eggs.

R. Looks like Dad came home drunk again and ate half the cake that Mother was saving for her luncheon with the girls tomorrow. You're kind of a jerk, Dad.
