Filtering Water

Filtering Water
Water bottles have always annoyed me even before they became the big thing because I knew the plastic had to go somewhere. I was around when there was no such a thing and we survived.

Not saying that I never drank from a water bottle but mostly drink from a faucet no matter where I am unless it would be in a remote dessert. I do use a Britta filter from time to time to filter for coffee.

We have some of the best water in the country in New York City surrounding areas and it always crispy cold like well water.

PS. Of course there are always places like Flint where the people must drink bottled and my heart goes out to them. Still a disgusting situation.

You are so right, especially as much bottled water is tap water anyway;-)

The more we think about trying to avoid plastic whenever possible the better. Nice photograph.

I'm lucky to live in an area with very good tapwater so don't need to filter it or use plastic bottles.

Interesting idea for this topic. We have tank water so do use a filter for drinking water, although it's not really necessary, more a taste thing.

As HC said, lucky to have good tap water. And we use glass bottles to cool it in the refrigerator.

Good shot.

in the UK there used to be water fountains in many public places, these seem to have disappeared over the years, not sure why, probably 'health and safety' and 'cost cutting' of public services; went to Australia a while back and it was refreshing to see plenty of water fountains and public toilets.
