Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille – Festival du Monastier

Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille is a town with approximately 1,800 inhabitants. Around 1900, when rural depopulation began, the population was twice as high.

In August 2025, 10,000 visitors gathered here to experience the 36th “Festival du Monastier”. A festival that revolves around brass instruments across a very broad spectrum, from Baroque to Hip Hop and back.

Tarmac Rodéo presented a life performance of a captivating mix of Dixieland swing, rock, and electronic influences. The stage sometimes had the atmosphere of the roaring twenties and kept the audience swinging.
