Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux - Rickey Calloway

With the support of many enthusiasts and volunteers Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux hosts the "Saint Paul Soul Jazz" festival already since 10 years.

The stage is erected in front of marie in the center of the small town (pop 8700).

Rickey Calloway is - the King of Funk!

This was the very first time Rickey visited Europe and the crowd in Saint Paul had waited for the moment, the last day of the festival. Supported by the New Mastersounds and a gigantic brass section from all other bands, who had been on stage the nights before, Rickey did a great, exhausting performance.

He followed in the footsteps of James Brown, once the "hardest working man in Show Biz" - and from time to time Rickey needed a minute of rest, before jumping off the stool and speeding up again.
