Lunch, at the British Lion pub, said to be the oldest pub in Folkestone, Kent, UK. It was Charles Dickens's favorite inn when he lived in Folkestone. The meal was steak and ale pie, potatoes, vegetables and enough gravy to float a small boat in. Washed down with a beer.

A very British meal, I would need a nap after eating all this!!! (hope you didn't have dessert too!)

Hi Denis, yes indeed, almost quintessential British food. Very filling, but the vegetables were well cooked, not boiled to death. No dessert, I don't think I could have moved if I had eaten more!
