CD 302 Hemingray Insulators in service use

CD 302 Hemingray Insulators in service use
Williams County, Ohio

A pole with two CD 302 Hemingray glass insulators still in service use in Ohio along highway 20. I must of counted about a hundred of them all along highway 20 in Ohio. Most are embossed with Ohio on the reverse side along with some Muncie Type in smaller numbers. This is a very rare sight today to see large colored glass pin type power insulators still in service use.

AstroElectric, SW Ohio Lines, Jesse Lor, Power Lines and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

I heard from a comment when I posted these CD 302's on flickr that it might be an Ohio Edison line, but I can't be positive about it.

Something is telling me that this is a VERY old line.

Those look a lot like Ohio Edisons cross arm braces.
