Oakham Castle

A small selection of the collection of over 230 ornate horseshoes presented to the castle by royalty and nobility, the origin of the custom has been lost in time, the oldest shoe was given by King Edward IV in 1470

In France we use to fix the horseshoes with the open space upwards so that happiness can better enter into our life !!!!!!!

I think I've seen this collection on TV - maybe on something like the 'Antiques Roadshow' or 'Great Railway Journeys'. All letting the luck run out, ;-)
