The signal box cafe was emitting some wonderful smells [breakfast sandwiches] when we arrived.

It is built into the lower floor of the transplanted Swainsthorpe signal box, with the grounded body of GER995 [six-wheel six-compartment third] used as station waiting room, bookshop and catering seating.

The upper floor is used by the volunteers as an operations room and administration space.
