olb/WTB[25] - Shannon "Lois Ivan" at high tide

13-49 Shannon class "Lois Ivan" replaced the Trent class "George & Mary Webb in 2023.
ON1356 is one of the "Launch a Memory" lifeboats and was named in July 2024.
She uses water jets, making her very manoeuvrable, with a top speed of 25knots [28mph] and exceptionally good brakes ! The expected range is 250 nautical miles [287 miles].

I know that it was intended that a copy of her "Launch a Memory" decals - ie the names - will be on permanent display outside the lifeboat house, once planning permission is obtained.
