stb[24] - channel crossings / weather conditions

The weather, fairly obviously, has a marked affect on whether or not small boat crossings are possible or even safe. Not that the latter seems to be much of a concern for those smugglers organising crossings.
The poorer weather in 2023 seems to have been something of a deterrent.
