Litter on beaches - and at other beauty spots - is something I really find hard to accept.

You have expended the time and effort to carry the full bottles, cans and packets to wherever you have consumed the contents. What is so difficult about packing the now lighter and empty containers back into the bag you used and taking them away with you.

This simple concept seems beyond so many tourists, and even some relative locals. The resulting mess is a hazard in so many ways.

Even in the current pandemic, I'll pick up some litter when I'm out for a walk, or on the beach. That's usually with a strong carrier bag to hand.

For "serious" litter picking - I wear work gloves, use a litter-picker and a hoop to hold a black bin bag.
