I saw this beetle in Stuttgart (Germany). It is about 1 cm long.
In the German Wikipedia, I found larinus turbinatus as a possible identification.
The English Wikipedia does not know larinus turbinatus, but a very similar beetle named larinus planus.
There's even a third species: Larinus sturnus ( www.biolib.cz/en/image/id23927/ )
All are possible identifications for "my" beetle.
