Alexander and a group of his friends found Diogenes in a suburb of Corinth, lying out in the open, sunning himself. Hovering over the philosopher, Alexander asked if Diogenes wanted anything. The philosopher asked Alexander only if he could stand a little out of the sun. the king was reported to have said to him friends who were mocking Diogenes, “if I were not Alexander, I would be Dioenes.” ~ Page 39
