Footpath from Saltcoats to Ravenglass
A track along the beach starts here, between the wall and the boat. Due to the high spring tide of 8.5 metres, it's under about 4 feet of water. It's possible to get on the landward side of the fence and walk along the field, but for cyclists it means a long wait till the tide falls, or a 4 or 5 mile detour back up Saltcoats Lane and along the main road.
