Isle of Wight England 1st November 2025

I do like to know where I am when on an aeroplane and breaks in the clouds on this sunset flight made it very clear despite the dying light.

We are flying south at 30,000+ ft on the way to Spain and the whole of the Isle of Wight and the Solent are visible as well as Portsmouth Harbour, Southampton Water and Bournemouth (in the mid-right distance) a total distance of over 50 miles.
