Great Central Railway Swithland Leicestershire 21st September 2018

British Railways Standard 5 4-6-0 73156 simmers on Swithland viaduct with the 19.30 diner train. We were here for 25 minutes to let the diners enjoy their food and the sun setting behind us.

With the fire, pressure and water in good shape this gave us plenty of time to drop down & take a few shots of the loco. With a very high ISO (& little bit of help from my torch) 73156's smokebox stands out from the darkness.

A very nice picture, which I like a lot, especially the background sky and water.

I too find that a bit of extra illumination on the smokebox from a torch works wonders!
