Deflectorless


Some of the QJ class locomotives operated on the mining systems at Pingdingshan were in service without smoke deflectors. This is likely to be because they reduced visibilty at the front of the locomotives which generally worked at slow speed in the tight confines of collieries. No.7186 is here heading east after dropping off a load of empties.
