Steam and brassicas

It is almost dark as the last train of the day leaves Mifenyang on the Shibanxi Coal Railway. The building in the background is the home of the local doctor and was our lodgings during our stay. The vegetables growing in the foreground featured in our meals served at the table outside the dorway. A lovely place to be based in this part of rural Sichuan.
